As Americans are no longer "secure in their papers and possessions" from Assault and Home Invasion by organized government officials or semi organized street criminals how does the next RNC Chairman intend to protect a Citizens Right To Keep and Bear Arms? Will his/her platform include the repeal of the 1968 Gun Control Act? Repeal of the 1934 Gun Control Act(Tax)?
Will Government, in fact, LEAVE US ALONE, if we refuse to fund or finance Bailout "loans" to failed corporations and bureaucracies?

Given that the general public was overwhelmingly against the banking bailout of 2008; when do you feel it is necessary for the Congress and the President to ignore the wishes of the people?

Do you agree that our 67,000 page tax code -- which includes so many loopholes and exemptions that even Charles Rangel is in trouble with the IRS -- needs to be changed? If so, would you support replacing the Income Tax with the FairTax?

Do you believe in The Constitution and The Bill of Rights as written and intended by our forefathers? What will you do to protect both? Do you agree that the Republican Party needs to return to its conservative base and not listen to the Dems and Libs that insist we need to move left?

Why do Republicans now "endorse" big spending candidates like McCain, Romney, Huckabee, and sending more aid to Israel? When WILL Republicans quit entangling itself in foreign conflicts, uphold the Constitution, protect the borders, abolish the Federal Reserve, REDUCE government, and spending?
We need Ron Paul/Goldwater Republicans, not any of these neo-con big spending liberals like McCain, Giuliani, and completely reach out to the young voters that the draft is NOT an option, nor is sacrificing liberties for security.

With nearly 80,000 Washington lobbyists trying to use legislators to promote their special interest group through tax deductions under our current code, would you support the FairTax, that research shows would promote legislators carrying out the will of their constituents over the will of these lobbyists?

Like David Codrea (at Jan 4, 9:13 AM), I WILL NOT support a candidate in whom I have less than unshakable faith in his (or her) willingness to protect the right to keep and bear arms from government infringement. As Mr. Codrea pointed out, that would seem to eliminate Mr. Steele right from the beginning, and Mr. Blackwell, by virtue of having a strong answer on public record, is in the lead. Still, I would look at the other candidates, if they answered such a question.

I too would like an unequivocal statement from each candidate on the individual right to keep and bear arms. - In addition, I would like to know if the Republican Party intends to require its members in Congress to adhere to their oaths to support and defend the Constitution, and to be sure of the constitutionality of all bills before voting them into law.

Based on the plain text of the Constitution, along with the Federalist Papers as well as comtemporary commenters, it is clear that the Framers meant what they said when they wrote "...the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
Using that as a guide, it's clear that the National Firearms Act of 1934, the Gun Control Act of 1968, and the 1986 Hughes Amendment are Unconstitutional on their face. What do you plan to do to repeal these illegal infringements on our Liberty?
Secondly, and most importantly, if the Republican Party won't trust We The People (the unorganized Militia according to the 1903 Dick Act)with the same kinds of arms that are freely issued to both the police and the National Guard (the organized Militia according to the Dick Act), why should anyone vote for a Republican candidate for any office at any level?
